They use received pronunciation used connotes the middle class as they are farmers in a rural community. The dialogue denoted their Yorkshire accents.

The sound effects of trotting denoted that there are animals present which connotes that the Archers is set in a rural community near farms.

The dialogue refrains from using personal pronouns as the listener will not be able to see who they are talking about, so no deixis will be used. Names will be given in the dialogue  so the listener will know who they are talking to/about.
