The purpose is to entertain and deliver new music to the audience from a wide variety of genres. It is fit for its purpose as it is easy to listen to and very enjoyable, as well as giving fresh ideas to its audience
The form is a radio show, condensed into a short podcast. It is an informal and very friendly show. This show he does not have any guests but introduces the bands with some information about their background. But sometimes he has conversations with artists.
It delivers new music in a friendly environment for people to enjoy. It also gives conversation starters that the audience can use in their day and gives the audience new music and ideas to think about.
It seeks to influence what the person listens to by offering new genres that the listener may not have encountered or not given a chance, the two songs played in this one are relatively new and low key, so the audience may not have heard of them.
The genre of the music is not specific, the only part that is specific is that the music will be fairly new and from lower key, less well known artists, this will give them a chance to get noticed as well as offer alternative music for his audience. You can tell as all the music is very fresh and there is a good chance you won't have heard the song.
The target audience is anyone willing to expand their musical taste and knowledge, the stations age demographic is between 18-40 as these will be the people that are most likely willing to listen to new music.
The frequency of the show 3 times a week, it is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the individual shows last for 3 hours, from 10pm.
The product will be produced in a studio. There will be a number of people to help with the show, their will be script writers to help with conversations, there will be people to organise the guests, even though in this podcast there are none. There will also be people in research to find out what music will be played on the show.

variety of interesting topic conversations as well as popular Adult

show is for the general listener who enjoys the radio and has a stereotypical
musical interest.

upbeat. There is an advert about dieting, which is used on the show as young
people are usually very image conscious, so the advert will appeal to the

on DAB radio for anyone who can tune in. Play servers will be used for song selection on the show, using high quality wav files. The jingles on the show will be made on non linear editing packages.

person does not have to read it, it is to entertain and is fictional. We
would know this by listening to the story it tells.

It is an audiobook and is read formally by the reader, as the
delivery of the story is formal. But it is a story for entertainment. It is
read well by Stephen Fry and is a direct piece, not conversational.

It delivers a story to the audience from the book it is read from.
There are no idents, jingles, adverts etc. and there are no themes as it is
just a reading from a book.

Meaning -
|
It seeks to engage the imagination of the listener, and makes them
think about the story. But the reading conveys no meaning that the book its
self does not.

It belongs to the science fiction genre, you can tell this when
listening to the story as it is told in a fictional way and is evidently not
a true story.

The target audience for the audiobook is educated adults, due to the
complexity of the language and how mature the story is.

Although being informative it is also casual, as this fits in with the theme
of the radio station.

it is modern music that its audience are likely to listen to. It will
